One of the biggest attractions when visiting Tenerife is the carnival known as the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This carnival is held in February and March and it causes the streets of Tenerife to become a huge party area. Typically there are parades, samba shows and live music. Recently this carnival has been aspiring to become a World Heritage Site.
